First you need to see how many hours TCEQ has given you credit for. Note: This may or may not be the TOTAL number of hours you have earned since backlogs occur at the local, state TWUA and TCEQ levels. Locally, the area districts are pretty good about getting hours to TWUA and then to TCEQ, but remember hours are sometimes posted quarterly, so if you are coming up on your renewal date and “cramming” to get hours at the last minute, be sure to get WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION for all hours (including monthly meetings) you earn and need during the last 60 days of your current license. REMEMBER, YOU NEED TO PAY YOUR LICENSE RENEWAL FEE ON TIME TO KEEP ANY DISCUSSIONS OPEN TO RENEWAL WITHOUT RETESTING!!!!!
Go to TCEQ website (www.tceq.state.tx.us) or use link from www.shwua.org , www.wateroperator.com or www.twua.org
At TCEQ homepage find “Navigation” and
Click “Permits, Licenses and Registration” then
Click “Professional Licenses” then
Click “Licensed Individuals Data” then
Click “Find Individuals Who Hold Occupational Licenses”
On this page you need to go to “Obtain your new license number” and fill in the blocks (last name, first name, middle initial) and click search. Search engine will bring up all licenses with your requests. Find your address and the information on that line will have all the updateable information. If there is a question about the accuracy of this data, there is a means to contact TCEQ at this page.
If you already know your new license number, then go to that data block (next one down) and fill in that entire information block and click search.
There is a shortcut that isn’t very much shorter. At TCEQ homepage, type “Find Individuals Who Hold Occupational License” into the SEARCH block and click search. You will need to click on “Licensed Individual’s Data—Texas Commission on Environmental Quality”. From there click on “Find Individuals Who Hold Occupational Licenses” and proceed as instructed above.
